Projector Headlights
Projector Headlights
Is there a reason why no CL on this site has these projector headlights. I know Black ack spent almost a grand or so on all his, why not buy these? Do you guys think they look to cheap?

black's coming i believe you'll spend just as much $$$ making those projector's fit as those are not a striaght swap. not to mention the fact that those projectors are no where near as good as tsx/audi or other OEM projector lenses.............

so while alot of parts are interchangable with accords some parts were made by honda specifically for the acura cl.

what kind of alterations are we talking about if one needs to install these can any one give any insight...I mean do we have to cut the top frame of juts slight alteration to the front bumper....I mean I have been look for some kind of headlight unit that would fit my 98 2.3cl but there is not after market that would fit and the aftermarket OEM's which is basically made by "DEPO" are like $300/pair that is steep. If these could be fit by littlebit of alteration than we all can have some nice set of headlights.

I don't think it's a little, there'd be some hardcore work involved. You would need to cut and repaint the fenders, shave parts of the hood and possibly parts of the bumper. These are one thing that the CL and accord have that's way different, come to think of it every body panel and exterior part are different
But hey, if you wanna start hacking up your front end to make a cheap ass pair of headlights fit, go right ahead, But also note that those are only 9006 stock headlight replacement projectors, so you won't get real output out of them anyway. You need a d2s projector like I have to use HID bulbs that are designed to output light through a projector setup.

HI 97BlackAckCL, thankx for the input man...all i need a replacement set of heamlights as Mine are foged up and I would like them to be crystal so that I can get the maximum throw of the HID's that I installed. But some intensity of the throw of light beam is lost due to the foggyness of the headlight unit. Do you know of a place that would sell cheap headlight units for our cars......even if it stock looking I am fine but I want them to be new and crystal as I plan to install the clear shield film on them so that they do not get damaged by the elements.......

those ebay projectors look nasty and tacky as hell
I suppose they'd be a bit more 'bearable' if they had some sort of 'oem ish' corner light reflector...but I've still yet to see even a 5th gen accord that looks decent with those.
