Now my 1st question is, in order to gain access to the inner housing, do I have to access it the same way you would open up the headlight housings? Does any know for sure?

 

sounds good to me.

You can also just cut the back of the taillight off... just a suggestion, seeing how you wont need the reflector housing anymore anyway.

 

thanks for the suggestion..i just ordered the SnapLEDs (the same ones used in the Caddy DTS) and they should arrive soon...i'll keep u posted..

 

how many did you get?? are you planning on doing a huge cluster like the Caddy?? or more like the Infinity G35, and do less over a broader area? Can someone post a pic of the LEDs Vs pics of the stock ones? I dunno what the difference with LEDs is. Thanx ahead.

The bottom half of this tail combination are LEDs. They are supposed to be a lot brighter than incandescents and are said to light up faster as well. If your car has a spoiler, the brake lamp on the wing are LEDs...I think the whole taillamp would look cool as LEDs..I'm still awaiting delivery of mine right now...
