Price on installing front rotors?
Ok i got a 97 3.0...my iRotors cross drill/sloted rotors been sitting in my room for over 3 months now....and some of ya know that the 97 comes with that "special" fucking hub press over rotors setup. I try to do it myself and broke the sideway sliding hammer and only got it half way out! I call up this one shop and the guy quoted me $250 for labor. Thats kinda prices isn't it? I'm thinking i could take the whole suspension apart and take a brake shop like "Just Brakes" and have them open it up for me....ya think i should do that? I dont know how much they'll charge just to open that hub but i'm thinking it wont be close to $250.

It's a carry over from the 1994-97 Accord design! :thumbsdn:
When the "new" 1998 Accord hit the market, they also redesigned the 1998 CL's brakes.

was it only on the 94-97 accord? my 92 civic si wasn't like that. and the funny thing was my civic si was using the 94-97 accord break pad!!! none of the civic break pads would fit.

Not sure. I've not had it done.
Instead of a timing belt change at 105K, I had a "new" engine dropped in at 106K.
The motor does not need to be pulled. However, they may need to undo one of the engine mount bolts, and drop (or raise) the motor slightly.

The hub is in front of the rotor. Unless you have a hub-puller, count on several hour to split the knuckle (both sides).
We're not talking about the '98/'99 model which can be done in an hour.
The '97s take at least 2 hours for each side.

I just got new zinc plated x-drilled /slotted rotors and tried installing them myself but that shit didnt work out so i called a few places and got my rotors and new brakes installed for $60 and it took them an hour and a half to do both sides... im sure they had the elusive hub-puller which i didnt during my 4 hours of tryin to change one side...

97s are not the same as 98+ they are much harder to do.

IF...you don't have a hub puller. Like xero said 60 bucks easy as cake once he found a place with a hub puller. Doin this manual labor style will take a solid half day to complete, especially for an amatuer.
