Prelude Head?
I keep hearing that it is possible to put the prelude DOHC head on my 2.3l block??? I heard from a few import mechanics that it can be done easily and then when i called honda they told me "NOT EVEN CLOSE"!!! Anyone else heard of such a thing? Cause i hear that my block is the same as the prelude....

i'm not really sure to be honest, but even if it did work it'll blow the f22a block apart.. firstly its not made to handle 200 stock hp.. then do other shit to it.. and secondly theres not coolant flow through the f22a to cool down a motors thats turning out that much hp and rev's.. they weren't made to go together, so don't waste your time, on the other hand if you want to do an h23 head on an h22a block.. thats been done

you're better off getting the whole engine IMO. you need the head, you need the belts, ecu, headers....
plus the F22 block does not run as much oil through the inside so unless you bump up the pressure you're not gonna get all the horsepower.
taking into account the tranny of the F22, you might as well just get the whole engine and tranny. less of a brain fuck.
some people from honda dont know their elbow from their ass. i you told them you could take the B18c5 head and clap it on a B20 they would tell you you are wrong.......... o well.

Now putting a dohc on a sohc just busts my brain.
