power steering flush

im going to be doing a power steering flush but i have a few questions befor i do.

how much power steering should i expect to come out and how much do i need to put in? huge bottle full? or a pop can full?

why is honda steering fluid recomended? can i just use some other power steering fluid, i am to lazy to drive to the acura dealer ship but if i have to i geuss i will.

do i just replace the fluid sitting in the resevoir? or is there more fluid deep down in those hoses and steering rack

i had no power steering for 1 second one time and the steering fluid is bad so i need a change asap, mechanics is too much of a hassle so i need to do it my self.

I used about 5 quarts, to do a real flush, you need a machine that will suck the stuff out of the reservoir while you're pumping fresh fluid from the system, took about 20 mins to cycle the fluid through the system, you have to continuously move the rack back and forth to work the fluid through it

I did it by myself....juts unhook one of the hoses going into the resivour and hook it up to a empty milk can and start the engine and let the fluid run out replacing it fresh fluid as it is draining, also during this process ocasionally trun the steeering wheel from right to left and vice versa till you see clean fresh oil squirt out the hose that you are draining the fluid from.....

Very easy.....but messy....you might need some help.....and yes please use the honda fluid highly recomended.

thankx
