Urthodox SS Pullies, they helped me out a lot. If you can, get the OBX headers, and then NOS that biatch. If you still have more money, go ahead and get the V2 AEM CAI, and a nice sounding exhaust.

you would buy a turbo... manifold... intercooler... Im not to familiar with this kinda stuff but get all the stuff you need for a turbo set up... then you would have to do custom piping for the whole set up...

supercharger... u buy a comptech supercharger and whatever else you need... the then the piping is custom again.

1.) Come up with $5K (Comptech supercharger)

2.) Take a trip to Park Avenue Acura

3.) Come up with another $2K

4.) Have a new tranny installed

5.) Come up with $30K

6.) Sell the CL and buy a fast car

or swap out your j30 engine for a h22 and turbo it ... ull have a matching tranny and it will be cheaper than fully customing something for the J30 engine.

Point is - it ain't worth it man. With all the bolt ons you are going to be running low 15s/high14s. If you are brave enough, you can run mid 13s with nitrous oxide. If bolts ons aren't fast enough for you and/or you don't want to run nitrous, just buy a diff car. The CL is a semi-luxury coupe that's decently quick. For the money you'd spend making it fast, you could simply have a better car.

comptechsport.com

They DO NOT make one for the 3.0CL, only for the 3.0 Accord and it requires modifications. $4000 plus install/mods = $5000. No way it'd be worth it.

I know the money is not worth it but I have gone as far as I can with my Porsche and it is far less of a daily driver then the CL and I have gotten a good price for my car so I was thinking this might be a good idea. I Know if I can handle porsche parts this will be alot easier. Can someone give me more information on the swap of the j30 engine for a h22?

hey... do a search on the h22 swap... you can convert your auto to a manual prelude engine... and then you can turbo it much cheaper... just turbo with custom piping but it has been done before more frequently so people can help you out. With that budget do the swap.

EDIT:

u'll lose the auto tranny and gain some ponies back since the engine is also 200hp.

If money isn't a problem why not just buy a better car? $12K CL + $5500 = $17,500. You can go buy a CL-S that's just as fast stock as this car will be with all those mods. Doesn't make any damn sense man.

You will on a trade in if they think you are serious. I got offered 11K for mine two weeks ago while I was looking at a dealer.

Why the fuck would he want to keep the car? In the end, it's still only a $10-12K car - period. It's still got xxx miles on it. People drive me up the damn wall with this shit. Like the idiots that have $10K wheels on their cars.

The car was never the point I have a base I would like to use and was seeing what ws out there to be done. Plus we already have CL type S, that is the reason I ended up with this car.

Everyone has their own hobbies. I can care less about a new car, and I think he can too. I think itz fun working on the car I have now. Plus, my insurance is too high, a new car would kill me. Goodluck with your project.

You must be crazy too. Wtf is up with people. Pouring money away.

As far as insurance being high, that wouldn't have anything to do with some tickets or anything would it? For me with a clean record (as far as my insurance company is concerned), it'd be less than $50 change every six months for me to switch to a brand new 330ci. I don't buy this excuse.

I'd don't mean to be a dick guys, but this is nutz - really. Spending $5K on a car only worth $10K?

Switching from a j30 to a h22a? Worst idea EVAR. Same hp, less torque, lighter engine. Not worth it. Plus you have to switch the car to a manual to even reap any decent benefits from the 4 cyclinder. What a waste of time.

And money.

If you want an H22, buy a Prelude that already has one and is hundreds of lbs lighter.

I Was just searching ideas If some one would not debate why I am doing it and give me some flat out helpful ideas that would be great. I guess I am from a different school of thought, with the porsches every thing cost so much money that when it comes down to it u do not do it to gain it back u do it cause u want to.

It's a waste period. It's like having a $200K house, and spending $100K on it knowing you will only be able to sell it for $180K.

proaudio22 hey man we all just have different opinions relax... let the man do what he wants to do with his car... why are you all into audio and im not??? who knows it is a matter of preference.

he was just asking what he COULD do.

why is swapping the f23 for the h22 a good thing.... and the j30 for the h22 a bad thing?? just saying it would be better for him to do the h22 swap since it is much easier to turbo and cheaper to do than a turbo on the j30 engine with the manual tranny conversion.

That was all I was saying... plus he would have more ponies, or if he got the euro? engine, 220hp. So yeah that is my OPINION.

Appology in advance RobbyK it gets heated on here sometimes haha.

Oh I def understand about the diff opinions man, ish all good. Same w/ the seats thread. No hard feelings or anything.

I didn't mean to be all pissy, this is just something that's kinda touchy for me. As far as the mods go, your suggestions is prob the best thing to do long term. But, from him saying he has ~$5500 to spend - it just makes more sense to me to go buy a diff car.

My apoligies to RobbyK as well.
