Power Locks
Power Locks
Will someone please explain to me how our power locks work? Every time i lock my car it continues to lock it by itself at least 4 - 5 times. It always locks and unlocks, but it just seems to go crazy after the first lock. I'm affraid its going to kill itself. Is there a relay switch or a motorized device?
Im not sure havent heard of this before but electrical in our cars suck, I would suggest taking the power lock apart then re connect it and maybe disconnect the battery and hook it back up, maybe that would reset whatever the problem is.
Its not hard at all to get at

Mine has started to do the same thing. It is just the passenger side with me. In addition, It just started not unlocking when I hit the botton on the key fob too. Works about 50% of the time now. Always locks, just not unlocking. Hope its not on its way out.

who told you that? Electrical is one of the only things on this car I've never had problems with *knocks on wood*
Now its really getting bad. When I lock my car, it sits there and locks over and over and over. The doors lock the first time, but its as if your standing there pressing the lock button a thousand times.
Since I originally posted this thread, I have replaced my window reg twice and disconnected the connectors.
Has anyone ran into this or read about it? Im wondering if its the remote or the lock relay thingamajiger
