The pics must be hosted on an outside site. There's a place under the "user cp" button to place an avatar. Go to "user cp" then click on "edit options" (scroll to the bottom of the page).

As for pics in the thread, you need to link the pic to you thread and surround the link with:

[ I M G ] "linked pic" [ / I M G ]

Just don't put in all the spaces like I did. I put spaces between each letter so that it wouldn't show up like this:

you need a hosting website to host your images in order to display them, i remeber back in the day you could post them but then that took up too much bandwidth and space for the acl system

but have someone host them for ya and your set

Who is your hosting site? Do you have a "free" acount, or do you pay for hosting. Most "free" sites won't let you link to other sites.

The tag should "read":

http://www.blahblahblah

There should be no space between the "G]".

www.fotki.com (my hosting site) allows the following:

JPEG (*.jpg, *.jpeg), PNG (*.png), PSD (*.psd), BMP (*.bmp), GIF (*.gif) and TIFF (*.tif, *.tiff)

A-CL.com allows: "Valid file extensions: gif jpg png bmp jpeg pdf txt zip mp3 wav eps". This come from the "Post Reply" page.

if you want to practice with a pic, go to say yahoo and right click on the pic. highlight the address property and click copy.

come onto one of these topics and click POST REPLY.

right above the message box where you can type, there are a couple little buttons
http:// @ and IMG

click the IMG and it will bring up a box in the upper left side of your screen. and where it says http://,
right click and deposit the address of the pic.

click ok
and then submit reply.

now i have not submitted any of my yahoo pics the ones i have taken, but this process is what i did to post my 1st pic froma website
