To find the year it was made, look on the exhaust side of the head. There will be 3 separate stamps. The middle one should have the numbers 1 through 12 in a circle with an arrow in the middle pointing to one of the numbers. That's the month it was made. On both sides of the arrow there will be 2 larger numbers which indicate the year.

I know it isn't an SI-R, I believe its a standard 96 JDM H22a, 200hp and 153tq at the crank. A dyno tune would be greatly beneficial for that car though.

that motor is most likely from a JDM Prelude Si VTEC from 92-96.

just H22A. some JDM engines dont have the number after the code like US and some European engines.

what kind of fuses were you blowing? i sanded down the terminal on the engine ground a few times and replaced the bolt. i never really had a problem blowing fuses.

did you figure out why the climate control isnt going on? i searched for a busted fuse and couldnt find one.

the starter and alternator was something i was gonna replace around this time had i still kept the car.

I'd look into the 4th gen Accord and see if the base model had a manual steering rack. It will make turning the wheel so much easier and you won't lose those few horses from the motor turning that extra belt.

I can't image driving the CL with a power steering rack and no power steering. I did it with my Civic and it's hell to turn when you're sitting still. The CL is almost a 1000 lbs heavier.
