PLZZZZ need help!

I have a 3.0 cl and it was pretty fast when i first got it, but I dont know what the hell is going on with it now, DAMN! CIVIC's are woopin my ass and i mean woopin by like 5 cars or more, is soooooooo freakin slow! the gears take years to go threw and my 2nd gear doesnt throw when u slam it??? obviously i kno is tranny but is that real reason behind why my car feels so slow? or i might be engine also?

also,
I hear a crapaling noise when i rev the car i dont kno if its the cat. or the headers???? but i dont think that is a big deal of slowing down my car is it?

MY CAR is falling apart!!

if your torque converter is shot, which it prolly is, you loose alot more than the normal 25% power train loss. you can test your torque converter by putting it in d4 press the brake and press the gas at the same time... dont try to do a burn out but it will "stall" at a certain rpm the service limit is 2400 to 2550 rpm.. if it goes above that your tc is a paperweight. if its below that you have a bad lock up solenoid. eather way its time for a rebuild. do the same thing in all the gears d3, 2, 1 and reverse.

stuff doesnt usually stay in perfect condition when your beating the crap out of it racing civics and the likes all the time. Take it easy and maybe it will last you a while.

by the way, your car was fast when you got it? lol lol lol

of course, if you go past the limit, its designed to stall, almost like a safety feature

its kind of hard to explain. it relates stall speed to rpm and axle speed. it varies once your moving. if your t/c blades on the inside is worn than youll have a higher stall. basically if you dont have a stall every time you came to a stop your engine would die. like leaving a manual tranny in 1st and commin to a stop.

heres an article:
