I think most people have heard that i'm prepping my car for 150 shot and i've gotten mixed responses on different of topic post. I thought i was just see what everone thinks and it would be confined to one post. Am i crazy, do i have something going, positive remarks and negative remarks and advice (serious advice) are appreciated. Realize that i've done quite a bit and am still planning to do a bit more before i crack open the bottle. Thanks.

If you're not fully aware of all the precautions you need to take, or even of all the possible dangers with running a 150 shot, you shouldn't even be thinking about it. If it was me, I'd know exactly what I was getting into, not asking others for their opinions or whatever.

No but I think the tranny is going to be your biggest impediment.

Dont want to discourage, just PM fastvtecCL and ask him how many trannies hes gone through.

i appreciate the continued responses. I'm looking into some sort of tranny rebuild. I need to get a few more questions answered from my mechanic before i start though. As stated above, i do plan on doing more before i though the switch. I want new valve springs, new fuel rail, fuel pump, possibly type-s cams, and a few more engine parts. I'm thinking i need to replace the majority of my belts to insure nothin snaps. Please continue with advice. Note: this is forum is not how i make my decisions, it's just to see what others think and their advice. thanks again for the help.

I refuse to go higher than a 75-shot without a tranny upgrade. Problem is, where do we get a tranny upgrade????

I'm looking into a custom job, but the pricing may not be worth it ($2200). For that price, I think I'll wait and invest it into a 6-speed swap.
