Planning ahead on the car

Hi all, I been giving some though about my CL. I been thinking right now I am pretty close to getting most of the bugs out of my car. Little annoying fixes that need to be done. So I might start doing some upgrades next year. So here are some questions for the guys that did the big stuff. BTW I have a 98 2.3 automatic.

For those that did the h22 upgrade, did it make the car run say/feel as fast as a 3.0 would run? I am not looking to be the fastest damn CL out there but I would say 200 hp would be nice under the engine and keep me happy enough. The cost seems like it wouldn't be too crazy in price. It looks like if you wait and buy right you can get a pretty good deal on one and installation don't seem crazy in $$.

I noticed that turbo seems like more work in tunning than I would probably deal with. So I might not go in that direction also.

I did some searches on opinions/steps already but just asking now about the long term feelings about it.

if ur gonna do the engine swap u may as well go manual trans w/ it.

i think that the way ur car is set up right now, its str8, engine swap wouldnt be cost effective.

Wanna meet up? Nice mods

Maybe soon, Don't want another flushing meet as I saw in the post. I want to finish up some stuff on the car first. I got a 1/2 guage install right now. My friend broke one of the needles. Basically couple of projects just in the middle. I think also from post, I am not sure if anybody did an auto to manual. If anybody did let me know, and how much does something like that cost?

I only know of pep boys, autozone, autobarn. The Autobarn one near me on Queen Blvd, almost has everything but that might be too far for u.

By purchasing a first gen CL you made a commitment to never really acheive speed. This is easily made up by the fact that it is one of the best looking cars for the buck. Good choice in the CL but maybe invest in some other mods then speed.

someone did auto to manual swap... wasn't that hard...

if your car is paid off then the swap is not a bad idea.. if it isn't then I would save and then sell the CL for something else.
