Chinismo- I dont go on that many road trips. I maybe go to ATL every 2 or 3 months, and even then i dont have that many problems with bugs and what not. I mean, if i thought down the road, that i really really needed those little squirters....i woulda kept em. I just dont use them. I probably havent refilled washer fluid for over a year and its still more than 3/4 full.

Dainfammous- I was going to do shaved door handles, but decided against it. After reading up about it, it was just going to be too much of a hassle, something i didnt want to deal with it.

and 97Acura3.0- I never even really thought about shaving the gutter guards until a while ago, then i asked about it, and it was gonna be a shitload of $$ to do that, i guess its hard cuz the roof is curved what not, but either way it was gonna be another 2k just to do those, so i figured, nope, dont need em shaved that bad. They're gonna do like 3 coats of base and about 5 coats of clear coat he told me, so it should be The color i picked should really stand out. Hopefully i ll have pics up by sat.

Damn, do you go on road trips through the amazon or something.

Seeing as the way that base coat is going on, and they masked off all the inner painted surfaces, he's going back to white, prolly Escalade white.

But, I noticed in some of the pics that there seemed to be some custom work going on in the paint scheme.

Why the hit and miss on the base coat?

Well it looks like that is a base coat they are putting on, or a primer, but they are doing it in sections. So is it going to be multi-colored, or have a pattern?

So you aren't painting all the visable areas like the door jabs, etc? I sure hope you are not leaving it a mismatched color for that price.....

Oh, and 2k for shaving the gutters is about 1600 too much.... Sounds like this shop is over the top in thier pricing. It takes a few hours to shave the gutters. You pull the rubber out, cut sheet metal to fit flush, and tack it in. Sand down, body fill for perfection, and paint.

Nah its not gonna be multi-colored. They're doing it by sections where they had to do bodywork. The white you see left is where there is no bodywork needing to be done. Its a simple primer and paint. All the parts of the car will be painted.

Actually VX, i'm only molding the factory pieces to the back bumper, not anything else. I just want to eliminate the lines. I was gonna do the lips like you have, but decided against it. And i ll also bet anybody its not 350z blue!
