pics of the lowered cl!!!

hey yall, how are ya? anyway, wanted to let you know i dropped the cl about 3 1/2 inches and it still rides like a dream. you dont have to sacrifice a rought ride when you lower your car if you know a few secrets! like for one: camber kits are useless! you dont need them and you should never use them. sounds shady, but the guy at the garage that did my coil overs and gas struts told me this after my car was finished. this guy did amazing work, my car is almost dropped 4 inches and doesnt ride much different than it did stock. there is a way to adjust your camber without a kit, which he said 99% of the general population doesnt know how to do, and thats why so many people look at him funny when he says not buy camber kits.

i will fill you guys in and answer any questions you may have if there is any response to this post. here is the pic. thanks! reply with any comments or questions and we can get a "suspension" thread going here.

its going down about another 1/2 inch tonight!

wilkes barre is in northeast pa, about 15 minutes from scranton pa, about an hour from the poconos.

I 'm not doubting your or calling you a lier but that doesn't look like a 4' drop. Your rims would be tucked under the well.

It looks like you still have the mud flaps (or whatever those things are called) on. Doesn't it?

i didnt say it was 4 inches! it is about 3 1/2 in the rear. and yes, it is 3 1/2 inches, and about 3 in the front.

the reason it isnt tucked is because i have 205/40's on 17's, which are literally about 1 and 1/8" of sidewall (very low profile tires). i put the factory wheels and tires on yesterday to see if they would rub and they did.

even though i went an inch higher (17 to 16) than the factory rims, with the tires i have on, my car sits lower than it did before even though the wheels are bigger, simply because the fact that the lack of sidewall onmy tires is shorter than the lack of an extra inch and the bigger sidewalls from the factory set up.

i will post of pic of the coil overs with the wheel off, which are APC coil overs that lower from 1 to 4 inches, and you will see that the spring is almost compressed to the point where i am riding on the strut.

trust me, it is at least 3 1/2 inches!

anyway, i can get those tires for about $90 a piece i believe, maybe cheaper, but if you want a price on 18's i will get them for you. let me know!

no prob clpower, i understand.

actually i think i am closer to 3 inches, because when i first measured it was with orginal rims and tires, so the coil overs dropped it about 3 inches, but i am down 3 1/2 in the back of the car, i think due to the decerease in overall circumfirance of the new rims with the low pro's.

i will post some pics with measurements, but i do think i am actuallly closer to 3 inches, now that i look at this other pic i have with the car against a measuring stick. ill keep you posted!
