Picked this up

Bought a 99 BMW 318ti sport, came from the factory with the m3 body kit and turbo charged. BMW guys say the car is extremely rare. $4000. 19" wheels projector headlights, new paint job, 94k on the body, motor, and tranny, and other thing I have not been informed about. The bad thing about this is its in Illinois at my best friends house and I can't pick it up for about a year

I don't know too much about BMWs but it looks like a sweet ride!
And explain that situation you're in.

Just to let you know, there were no 318ti's in America that came stock with turbocharged engines from what I can recall, although the m technic sport packages did come with the m3 style aero additions. Nice little pickup though, hope it doesn't actually take u a year to get to it lol.

I don't like the back of those cars either but the price was good and the miles are low. The turbo has been replaced once on there already. I don't know if it came stock with one or not its my buddies and thats the information he was given when he got it.

As for my situation I haven't finished my school in Illinois yet and I'm going back for a semester to get my degrees so I'm going to fly out there and drive that around until I move back to seattle. But I don't go back until next fall.

to be honest the rear of the 1st gen CL is the ugliest part of the whole car. It is one of those either you like it or you hate it and it seems most people are in the later group where they really do not like the rear of the cl. it looks better with a spoiler and tint on the tail lights but its still the worst looking part of the whole car (at least on the 97's, the 98-99 has a ugly grill along with the ugly tail lights)

I still have the cl thought about doing a trade in on it for a 92 rx-7 would have only had to pay 3500 more with the trade but I decided against it. I would have for sure not been able to pull it into my driveway. My driveway starts out as a 45 degree angle I scrape as it is with my cl. the fd was lowered 2.5" so it was a no go. Maybe when I get a new house.

WOW I didn't realize a 92 RX-7 is worth that much without the trade a girl I know sold hers for $6000.00 straight out about a year ago and it was in really nice shape. Are they more expensive there or something? Hers was a 93 I think
