It is nothing more than a simple resistor you can buy at any local electronics store with some loose change...save your pennies.

the weird thing though is although the guy has some negative feedback, he also has alot of positive feedback. so either all those guys are lying, they don't know what they are doing, or it works in some way or another. im no expert so i wouldn't know.

Actually they do work to some extent. It works in that it advances your timing. Don't know how much more that can help or damage your engine. Your call...all I have to say is if you start pinging or getting engine knocks, take it out immediately! Last thing you want is a melted piston! But it's your call, don't let my word influence you much.

Peace.

I bought this before I read the feedback. I havent put it in though, I'm gonna ask the tech's at work tommorow if it's safe (I work for chrysler/jeep/dodge now) oh, and the feedback part: they send you directions and at the bottom they say if you give them negative feedback, they'll give you negative feedback for no reason!...real jack-offs, I tell ya!

One of my friends bought that chip for his truck and i put it in for him... the directions said to unplug the temperature plug from the intake and jumper the plug using the resistor. i think the resistor sets the power into the plug at the optimum voltage for the engine, since the plug is no longer getting a varying voltage output based on the heat in the intake. I doubt this can be good for your engine..especially in the summer...
