Perfect Shift Point / Rev Limiter

I was reading in the archive and noticed somone calculated the optimal shif point in our car to be 7000 RPM however is the redline starts at 6250 and the rev limiter is at 6500....

did I understand everything correctly and is there a way to remove the rev limiter?

i dont think you can get that far without hitting the rev limiter and if you could it really woulnd be the ideal shifting point because there is no power that high.

thats not the right idea, the object is to have the least difference in torque between each shift, the lower the rpm the more torque and you only need torque to get the car moving so in the higher end of the rpm there is little torque so thats why you are supposed to shift near red line, letting the rpm drop before shifting will slow your car down
