Take the door panel off amd grease the window rail (track the window rides in) with silicon spray. Also grease (lithium grease) the scissor bars of the window regulator. To have it done by someone would be $100 labor, $2 parts. DIY.

Yeah the regulator take it to a Honda/Acura specialist they will fix it for cheaper than the dealership. You could do it your self but in this case it might be easier to just shell out some cash. Maybe your waranty covers it how many miles do you have?

Well...I bought the car used, so their is no warranty...The car has almost 90,000 highway miles on it...
Thanks for the suggestions; Im probly gonna take it somewhere and hope to get it done for around $100

Hello,
I have a Window Regulator if any one wants it. I'll post a topic in the Black Market Section soon. But if you need it Beani051 it's right here. And it is kinda simple to put in.
joeshmoe, to take the door panel off there are several screws you have to remove first. And after doing so you simply just pull on the panel so that the clips come out and then you pull up on it.
I'll post some pics in a little while since it's hard to explain without them.
Check back soon,
James

Your in for a pain in the A$$. My driver side window failed about 4 months ago, ---> I took off the door panel and there is no room for your hand. The cable that lifts your door had came off the track, also the plastic runner was broken. If that wasnt bad enough the motor barely worked. I said forget about (thank God there are other people with more patience than me). It cost me $270 at the honda/acura maintenance shop.

When my regulator went... after taking the panel off, i saw that my cable was all tangled... Even if i was able to get to the regulator, i wouldn't have been able to undue that knot...
I wouldn't be surprised if Acura just gave me a whole new door, painted it to match and put my door panel on it... That may have been easier...
Good luck

I suggest you buy the regulator from an Acura parts store and install it yourself. It should come with motor and the cable. Once you've pulled out the door panel and the plastic cover, you'll be surprised that it's really not all that hard. Since you already have the regulator, it's just basically pulling out the old regulator and replacing it with the new one. It's mostly taking out the screws and putting them back on. Actually, the screws come with the regulator when you buy it. I hope this helps.

You're looking at about $300-$350 from the dealer ship. I suggest you go somewhere where they have parting out parts for CL and have them install one. It cost me $150. Good luck.

Yea...The dealership said they would charge about $400 to $500 for replacing the regulator...
They actually reccommended that I take it to my own mechanic because it would probly be cheaper...So I just dropped my car off this morning at my friend's place and he is gonna charge me roughly $250...
We'll see how it comes out!!
