do i need to replace it or can i rest easy knowing that its on red, and keep driving. i also noticed that if i put it in nuetral the temp will go down, and if i drive super slow it'll go down (as in not going past 30 and keeping it under 3k)

bad thermostat, and its not good to drive with it in the red just for precautions. tune up or not, it could signify that your car might overheat n then ur in deep shit. just go to acuraautomotiveparts.com and order a new 1 and replace it.

If the thermo checks out, check to see that the fans are turning the way they should. But yeah, thermostat.

even if your hoses look brand new on the outside they could very well be all cracked on the inside.

pinch the hose about evern 8 inches and if you feel a crispy feel you need new hoses. also check all the collars make sure they are all tight

you schould be fine

untill you get the thermostat you can simply remove it for the time being if you need to drive the car. make sure the car is cold when doing this. after a succesful removal fill your radiator to maximum. you should be set

Actually, you are half right. Yes, blast the HEAT, but turning on the a/c can be helpful in that it turns on the secondary fan.

My primary fan failed on my civic and the guy at the honda shop said to run the A/C to make the secondary radiator/condenser fan run. It will help, the car will not overheat any worse because of the compressor drag.

Good luck.

check your fans are they running? that would cause your car to heat up while idling

it still might be your hoses, check the collars if they are tight.

the loud exhaust isnt really your exhaust, its most likely your intake. The clucking noise could be a leaky seal or something, im no expert

yea that usually the case when your car starts to breathe better, i don't think that you have to worry about the sound too much but it will get annoying later. But im no expert either but it might be your TB.

check your TB and it sounds like your car is getting more air from somewhere else. Have you checked all your hoses?

Holly Shit... That idle sounds wrecked. It sounds like you have a bad knock or your water pump has failed. Also, has the Timing Belt (TB) been changed? If not, you could have a bad tension pulley or a torn segment of your TB.

As for loud exhaust, I would look to see if your CAT is getting hot. My guess is that it is plugged and has burned a hole in the top or in front of the cat.

To be honest, your car really needs some TLC. You should cease all shit talking and red lining and go directly to the shop and get that shit checked out. Or else...
