depends on what you want to do with it ... h22 has mods that are real easy to get ... mods for the SRV are goin to have to be ordered from japan witch is real hard on the wallet

lets not forget those lovely smog restrictions.... you will have a hard time passing the srv through emissions and all that.

not that mods for the h22 are cheap, but im sure they are more reasonable than the srv.

just my thoughts.

Ask Fode, I bet he has some input on this topic. THis is the first time that I have seen that mentioned on this forum. That doesnt happen often... a new topic never mentioned before. Except for the "should I rip off a wing at a dealership???" thread.

if its the engine i'm thinking of its 190hp.. not 250.. only thing with bigger or equal hp to an h22a is the k20a.. rsx motor.. which is ivtec and close to impossible to put in a normal car.. and the s2000 motor.. which i forget the engine code for.. f30? summin like that the accord motor is garbage i wouldn't pay anywheres near that much for it.. if anything take that extra few grand and do internal work to the h.. or give me the money and i'll build you my motor

thank of the info.

the engine has a blue valve cover, with the written words VTEC
Big on it..

he told me this enging pumps out 250 horse.
and it came from a Honda Accord.

they say they don't make this engine no more because it was to powerful....

or maybe the shop guy made some story up, just for me to buy the engine...

If it has a blue valve cover its an f20b from the accrod sir-t. Its basically an h22a that was destroked to 2.0 liters and puts out 200 HP. It does not have no were near 250 HP. If you are considering paying 5,500 canadian for an engine then get an h22a type s engine with a red valve cover. Its probably cheaper runs around $3,000 US for a full swap. The type S engine puts out 220 HP, comes stock with 11.1 compression, aggresive cams, port and polish, a tranny with LSD and a 9,000 RPM red line.

Why would you consider getting a 2.0 liter engine over a 2.2 liter engine that makes more HP and is cheaper?
