let me hear some more details. What size turbos, what kind of compression are you running? How much boost? How did your dyno turn out? Hows the built tranny holding all that torque? You are using the 3.0 tranny right? Did you have all the clutch fans and such strengthened? Are your gears hardened?

Come on now fellas. Do you really think he would lie about this swap? I for one have sent him emails and he was really helpful and prompt in replying to some of my questions. He even offered to hook me up on some parts, if I wanted.

I am a reformed car thief, and trust me, alarms don't do jack shit but piss us off, wake the neighbors, and slow us down for a minute or two. Fact is, if we really want a car, there is a way to get them, period. Go to your local Radio Shack and buy about $125 worth of electronics and materials and you too can make a code snatcher, a slim jim, an ignition jumper and relay box to take most any car on the streets today. If you are feeling really cheap, then use a rock to smash the windows, or take a blade and cut 4 inches into a convertable top and steal away!
BTW, if those times are true, DAMN!!!!!!
I still say post a copy of your slip from E-Town, to silence the critics.
#25
dajuice, code grabbers haven't worked since like 97. Basically every alarm made since then only allows 3 codes to be sent before they enter safe mode where no more codes are received for a set amount of time. Jimmies won't get you in many cars these days. Even if you get in, most of the nicer cars have electronic code keys within the key and ignition cylinder.OK, slide hammer will take care of that right? Nope. You still have the steering lock. If the car is automatic, you also have a shift lock.
What kind of car thief uses a rock to break a window? It's a known fact the tools of choice are a broken spark plug or a center punch. And you want to know what an ignition jumper is? It's a friggin' screwdriver place across the terminals on the coil.
No need to add more BS to this particular thread. I don't think many "reformed car thiefs" come out and proclaim themselves as such.
And in response to the alleged turbo car, a 1.0 60 ft time in an automatic CL is impossible. Not possible. I had an 11 second car that pulled 1.5x 60 fts with a TRANSBRAKE. BS. I've only seen one timeslip in my life with a 1.0 60 ft and it belonged to a twin turbo 80s corvette which ran low 8s... in the 1/4. Post your timeslip. And we're still waiting for these engine bay pics. If you really do have the turbo setup, then more power to you, but it ain't runnin' what you claim.

Why not????? I did say I was reformed and I haven't stolen a car in years, as you can see. I am not ashamed of my past, it made me into the better person I am today. Trust me, I have done a lot worse than just steal a car. But, I do know that code grabbers do still work, ask the new family thief. Jimmies still work as well, just need to use the passenger side and have skills, this I do know. I see you have a method to jump the ignition as well, I actually have another method, but as you said, no more BS about that, it is the past.
I still think his times are possible, just need to be validated with a slip from the track, thats all.

how did it get stolen with a cracked piston, and blown gasket?
#29
Good post, dajuice. I was a little caught up in calling BS on this guy and got a little carried away. Tell the new family thief that stealing cars ain't worth the risk of getting caught.
Back to the subject at hand, let's see the slips/pictures.

A 1.0 60 ft time.... I hardly believe that
maybe if you were running 40 lbs of boost and a 4000 stall convertor straight off the line. Most 9 and 10 second cars can't even get a 1.30 60 ft. I can believe the turbo kit and the setup, sure no problem but quit the b/s. We know you don't have some 11 second CL. wait wait wait..... let me rephrase that, we know whoever stole your car doesn't have an 11 second CL

This is the biggest onslought of calling BS on someone I have seen in some time, but I have to add to it. Seems to me, and this is just my take, that he mentioned nothing about the car being stolen until he was getting called out for pics. I would have thought he would have mentioned that from the beginning. It isnt like a "oh yah, by the way, my CL is stolen." I dont know about you guys, but that would be the first thing I would have said. I would have started a "My car got stolen" thread. I call BS based lots and lots of holes. BTW, noticed he hasnt posted in a while.

Acurate, good point. My question to you is how are you a KSU fan when you live 20 minutes from the mecca of college basketball known as Lawrence? You're really a Jayhawk fan, I call BS

1.0 60" times are completely possible.
with about 1400hp, full on drag slicks, and RWD.
and at least 2 of the 3 cant happen on our cars.
I think you guys scared him off, he hasnt posted in a while but it was pure bullshit with his saying that it was just stolen (with a blown head gasket and cracked piston).
