One question ... Why?

I was just wondering why you chose the CL over all the other cars out there on the market …My reason is I got it because it was a great deal for a nice car also because it wasn’t a civic

I think it's because I have the only black on black 5 spd on the island. I could have gotten a Legend but those are dime a dozen.

Cause the IS300 and S2000 wasn't out yet. Supra TT, VR-4, and 300ZX cost too much new. And 200 hp was good at the time. Oh yea...and cause I'm not a big fan of American cars. Basically, this was the only option I liked. Car still looks tight as shit. Just wish it was quicker and RWD. If I think about it now...I shoulda gotten a GST or GSX.

I found mine for a good deal. The salesman wouldn't come down to my price went to another lot that i found out later that are affliated and the salesman there went to the other lot picked up the car and made the deal i wanted work for me. Now that i have it i would not trade it for the world

Oh and I got it this year with 37,000 miles on it

We originally wanted a some what nice car that got good gas mileage for my moms 5 hour commute into manhattan everyday (her jag really didnt fit the relilible or gas efficient thing). We went to the honda dealership looking for an accord and didnt like the bland styling or sparse interiors so they showed us a "new model acura they just received that we might like." We saw it and immediately loved the look and then saw the price and thought that it was a great deal w/ good gas mileage and reliability (honda engine). Guess our assumptions were right because it was handed down to me after the first 110,000 miles (about a year after we purchased it) and its still running strong with 216,000

Because I couldn't find an A4 with decent milage in my price range at the time.
The CL was actually my 2nd choice.
And I chose the 1st gen over the 2nd gen CL cause I liked the body style better.

Like everyone said: amazing bang for your buck. For 14K couldn't find anything near as nice and reliable as this car when I got it. I needed something reliable and it had to be a manual transmission. I started looking for a GSR (couldn't find one), then a lude, then beemers, vw's, accords, and found this car by chance. I was at a Honda dealer looking at a lude and this car was just traded in and was a 5 speed. When I got in, I was amazed by how nice the interior was and really dug the car.

The fun part was when i picked up my gf from the airport in the new car and she had no clue that i bought a new car. (I had a 91 eclipse before)

I got mine because not that many people have them. Im tired of seen the same cars on the road over and over, specially the accord. Plus its an acura, it will run forever

easy, i wanted a 2dr, black with black leather, bose system, V6 and a moon roof...the cl was the perfect choice!

I went to an auto auction and saw my baby and knew right then that it was the car for me...(then i found a white Audi A4 in the paper) Never looked at the A4 and i ended up bidding and winning my cl....sometimes i do wish i would of atleast gone to look at the A4....i donno, sometimes i kinda wish it was a 4 dr and i ALWAYS wish it was a stick. But im happy with my choice....besides, the whole aution thing was soo fun. I bidded and bought my car in 30 sec without me even knowing it. hehe

the GSR was too clausterphobic, the RSX wasnt going to come out for another two months, and neither was the WRX. interiors on mustangs, camaros, and firebirds look like they have been assembled by playschool.

the CL has a nice interior, love the rear, good fuel economy, got it for half of what i would have been paying for other cars, and nice and roomy.

still love the car altho i wanna get rid of it next year.

I was looking for an entry luxmobile. My wife almost talked me into the TL, but I won, and we got the CL.

I got the 3.0, because my wife can't drive a 5-speed, and I refused to get another 2.2/2.3 with auto (we already have an Accord with 2.2 auto).

Great bang for the $$$!

I was also looking at a BMW 328, but I couldn't justify spending another 8-10 grand to get options that came standard on the CL.

I'm still looking to get a BMW, but looking at the M3 (e46).

I love my CL!

best bang for $$$$...

my choice in 1998 was my 1998 CL fully loaded for $32,000 after interest and BS...

or 1998 Maxima semi loaded for$5k more... smae HP, etc... but why not go all out for less.... besides the 2 drs was more attractive at 18 yrs old!
