Yes, I have read the n00b guide but I still have a few questions.
1.) The n00b guide and ebay says that it lowers 1.75"/1.5" (I love how the front is a little lower than the rear) Now do they really lower like that or not? (for example, the eibachs prokit is rated 1.4"/1.4" but we all know it's not even that.
2.) $170 is a great price, yes?
3.) Will I be experiencing any crazy tire wear and need a camber kit? (I know I need new shocks)
Thanks in advance and btw, it's a 3.0.

I don't want a big drop, just something to get rid of the 4X4 look. Where I live out of the city limits, the roads are rough and bumpy. As long as the drop is -2.0" and +1.3" I'm good.

i guess it really depends on what your budget is looking like but i would suggest you buy a camber kit today or tomorrow also. DON'T WAIT. the more you read, the more other members and threads will tell you that you may or may not need it. i'll tell you now that you'll need it. i have a 3.0 also.
save yourself the installation cost and the expense on new tires and just get it done with it at the same time. to have my camber kit installed after the fact, it was $300, not including parts. i was exactly in the same position as you, i was in a rush to get everything done and get my whip as hooked up as fast as i could. the best advice i could give you is to cover all angles... or you'll regret it later when you have to buy tires twice a year and can no longer afford the camber kit and install.
i bought and installed KYB AGX and Neuspeed Sport Springs 6 years ago when i was 18. it wasn't till 3 years ago that i finally caved in and got a camber kit installed. i went through several sets of tires in those 3 years due to negative camber wear. the insides of my tires would bald in less than 10-12k miles, even faster for snow tires. rotating tires doesn't matter if all of your wheels have camber issues. it handled like a champ though, i could take turns FAST AS HELL without any tire-squealing.
as far as the wheel gap goes, the drop is exactly as much as i wanted. with 18" rims i can put a finger, finger and a half tops with stocks. i don't have sausage fingers.it doesn't tuck but it doesn't look like i have a gap. pre-drop with rims, my CL looked like a 4x4.
has it sagged over the last 6 years? i highly doubt it. it sat exactly how i wanted it to the day i got them put in, and i honestly couldn't tell you if it sits slightly lower now than then. i doubt it, if it is, it's millimeters lower. my car rides well since i have adjustable shocks, but i can't help but think that lowering it has made my turning radius shit. i can't remember what it was like before i touched anything, but i swear i could K or U turn much easier back then.

And I doubt that it made the turning radius worse. It's just as bad as my parent's vans.

and not because i can't judge distances or that my car can't make it over curbs, it really just does smoke my cl's turn radius.
right now i ride at 2 of 4 in the front, 4 of 8 in the back.
i used to ride at 3 front/ 6 rear and i felt like i was driving a dune-buggy. it was really stiff, great response, bad for daily driving. cracks in the pavement felt like 3" deep potholes.
at 2 / 4, i'd say it's much closer to stock and the ride isn't bad at all. i was looking for pictures on my old photo accounts but they're just not there anymore. i used to have them on yahoo but it says it converted to flickr in 2007 and that since i didn't change, my pics are all gone. it's aiite, as soon as my rims are back, i'll post new pics. painting them bronze this week!
