that was a fun car to drive. the mirrors were on the front fenders beside the hood and the rear view mirror went all the way across the windsheild. it was a MR 1300cc engine. dont know what that is in ci or litres though.

I'm in Alberta, Canada. The insurance company told me just about any big city will have higher insurance rates than out in the country. I pay $85 a month with 1 million in liability, collision and comprehensive, which is not even a lot anymore if I cause a bodily harm accident and I get sued. I would actually like to get two million in liability with the house as well.. Loan companies usually make people buy collision as well to cover their own asses if there is a wreck. Your rates should go down considerably once you turn 25.
I don't see how the CL would be more than the MR2.. you could shop around with insurance rate engines and compare the two of them again with multiple companies. $218 doesn't sound too far out of line, I know one 19 year old girl who's paying $300 a month on a Sunfire (could be an accident she never told me about, she's a spoiled rich girl and the car was given to her) and one with a Chrysler Intrepid who pays $270, neither of them sporty cars. Civics are always a lot to insure, especially in Calgary which has a young population and lots of 20 years olds driving Civics and Integras.
Mileage per year makes a difference, so does neighbourhood and about 20 other things. Golfs and Jettas are safe but always a lot to insure because of what the parts cost.

Considering I'm 19, have no accidents or tickets on my record, and have always been an insured driver, I was paying $250 for the first 3 months and am paying $218 now
