Im freakin pissed basically just got into a huge fight with the owner of the sound shop who used to always hook me up...But ill never go there again.

OK Here's the deal as some of u may kno i went to orlando for only 3 days came back my car wouldn't start it jus clicked. My friend jumped it and everything was good. Today I tried to start the car and it started very weak just the sound of it barely turned over. So I went to the Sound shop where i got my optima red top and he originally said its not the battery blah blah. I realized after 20 minutes this guy knew absolutely nothing. The guy next door from another mechanics shop put a voltmeter on it and said the battery was bad. So he came out with another optima red top that was on the shelf. At first i didnt really want it because it was smaller even though it was free. Its product # - Sc75u alot smaller then my old one? The CCA is the same though? Does size matter? OK neways the owner of the sound shop tells me that SOMETHING is draining my battery? Im like what's draining it? He said he can't tell me he has no idea it can be anything. He put something on the battery and it showed something was giving it a draw? WTF could it be hes the only one who installed after market shit and he said he can't find out and to bring it to a regular car shop.

Alright soo whatever im leaving the shop...I jus got over food poisoning soo im already pissed off and I noticed my idle at a stop light is CRAZY low. I mean crazy. My idle is like the first line after 0! The car feels like its about to stall out. WTF Happened? It was perfect before i put the new battery in. Anyone know what the hell is going on? And does anyone else have SC75U optima red top in there CL ? im heated right now.

And also the battery he gave me was prolly sitting on the shelf for months...Should i keep it temporary and buy a new one somewhere else? OR just keep it?!

I know there's a shop that will run strictly a electrical/power test.. They'll test battery, alternator etc for like $30.. I'd have some tests ran on it before anything..

Sounds like the alternator, go to Kragen, they'll check it for free

the new batery is smaller then my old one the new one is OPTIMA RED TOP SC75U if anyone can find anything. Im debating buying a new one at pep boys this week sometime.

Rodxx, i told u needa unplug those terminals before leaving the car for days. check the alternator fuse under the hood. jump start the car for a and let it run for about 20-30min else take ur battery to autozone and have them recharge it.

I just replaced the battery the car starts fine right now. What are u talkin bout? Also where is the alternator fuse?

check your alt. and then chk the battery for voltage again

chck the groud also for the alt. maybe its not secure all the way

you can't really test a battery just by what voltage is down or up, they need to test if it can hold a charge, if somthing in your charging system like the alt or regulator is bad the new battery will only last a couple more days. Though it may have been a bad battery and your fine now two,

Whats putting a draw on my battery? He said something is drawing from my battery with the car OFF. What could it be? I stopped using the viper alarm...And i dunno what else would take draw?

Once I Left My Car And Went Out Of Town For A Week And A Half And The Acura Dealer Told Me It Was My O2 Sensor Its Happened Twice To Me And Never Again.

Yea supposedly that what they told me they said that the O2 sensor was the problem and my car was going crazy idling high and low until they fixed the problem.

Mine did it when I was stopped and when I would accelerate I couldnt go past 40 something miles and then when I would stop anywhere it would go crazy again idling.

when i drive tommorow should i keep the radio off? I have an appointment early thursday to bring it in to my local shop. I tried going to autozone to test everything but there machine was fucked up. The only thing thats weird is I drove the car last night for 30 minutes nothing like this was happening til today AFTER i changed the battery?!

Hmm wierd if I was you I would take it to a Acura Dealer near by where you live. They will resolve the problem quick in my opinion.

OK guys now im really confused all day today the car was perfect normal idling and everything? What could of happened yesterday? Battery reset shocked the car?

And BTW the sound shop I use to like but no more is "SOUND BLAZERS" I even had there sticker on my car at one point. NEVER GO THERE THE GUY IS A FUCKIN TWO FACED ARAB who just wants to make a $ off of you. Well every place is like that but I know this guy and he will rip you off anyway he can.
