Oil Change, now a shudder?
Oil Change, now a shudder?
I have lifetime alignments at Tires Plus, and I had a coupon for an oil change.
So today, I went in for an alignment check and oil change.
They did the oil change, test drove it, and said the alignment is fine, but there is a balancing issue.
I had to go to work, so I didn't ask them to do the balancing.
After driving it to work, and driving during work (I deliver pizza), I notice something weird with my car.
Only when I turn the car on or off, it feels like the motor shudders. I'm not sure if it is the motor, but it is definitely coming from behind the dash, and I'm just assuming it's something under the hood.
Does anyone know what this might be?
I did a quick check between deliveries.. the fluids are fine, everything looks bolted down, and nothing is obviously wrong.
It's just when I start the car or shut it off, the front shudders.
It didn't do this before I took it to Tires Plus, and it doesn't seem to have any problems when it's running.
I'm going to go check everything out more thoroughly when it's light out, but I doubt I will be able to pinpoint the problem.
So, I turn to you, Acurazine, before I go make an ass out of myself at Tires Plus.

This has been described before, and i think someone said they fixed it by replacing their fuel injector o-rings. Basically you may have a leaky fuel injector, when the engine is hot and you shut it off. If you turn the engine back on within an hour... the leaked fuel is still there and will cause a spudder. Dont remember who replaced them but you can search.
