If you decide to switch to synthetic oil, I would have the old oil flushed out, then install synthetic oil and drive it around for 50 miles or so, then have that oil flushed out, and refilled with synthentic once again. Then . . . never go back to conventional oil!

But, this is just my anal-retentive ways.
[Even though I'm serious.]Why not just change the oil yourself?

It's much cheaper.
PS. alwyas change the oil yourself, cause it will run your 15 bucks cheaper than any shop i get mine done with a bosch top of the line filter and 4 things of oil for 16 bucks at autozone and the local shop charges like 35-40 depending on the number of quarts you need for the car

ok... so what exactly do you need for an oil change?
oil
filter
stands or ramp
and what do you use to catch oil?
sorry never done this, going to try it this week. pull the plug and screw off filter, let oil drain into...?? then put plug back pour some oil into filter screw back on and then add the oil?
thanks.
EDIT: kinda funny thought... after the oil change, going to attempt header install.

with the used oil.. take it to a shucks, kragen or any supply shop to rid of it. call them first to make sure u can throw it away there. I know shucks auto supply is free.. but there are places that charge
Never get under your car while it's on a jack. Use jackstands. Don't forget to change the crush washer on the drain plug - every other oil change will do. You can get them at the dealer for a couple of cents each. If you don't change the crush washer, you'll end up with a bunch of annoying drips where you park your car.
You can buy a low, wide bucket for catching the oil for about $3.00 at Kragen. Don't buy one of those expensive buckets that have a pour spout on the side - they leak.
One other thing. Don't forget the put the drain plug back in. My friend forgot to do that once and poured 5 quarts of oil down his driveway.

I dont think our cars use crush washers. I have a metal washer on my car so dont have to change it ever. Also dont forget to dip your finger in some oil and spread a little around the top of the filter in that rubber gasket. It helps form a good seal, and makes it a little easier to get off the filter next time you do it. Pep boys - rose auto - advance automotive dispose of oil free.
lol turns out the oil change didn't quite happen. I got the car up had everything ready to go... then couldn't get the drain bolt off... so brought the car to pep boys and the guy had trouble getting it off and had to use some extensions to get the necessary leverage. Oh well 15 bucks for an oil change with my own oil and filter. Perhaps next 4-5k miles I'll be able to get the bolt off.
......sad.....so sad.... hehe j/k, next time get your self a half-inch ratchet with a foot long handle cause theres lotsa bolts on our car that are a bitch to get off. You will use it if you work on your car often.
