Odometer rollback/accidented car
Well, I was recently informed that it is possible that my odometer was rolled back eore I bought the car. I have also been told that my car has been previously accidented (needing some moderate to serious body repair). Any ideas on wher to start on something like this? Where to go to get some definates, like if it has been rolled back.?

A friend of mine that is rally famous around here fore tinting windows pointed out a place where he could tell that it had been repainted. A guy at metro auto collision said that there was no way that my car had that little mileage with that high of wear on a few particular parts. Lastly there have been a few other people who have pointed out cvarious things that show it has been accidented.
Anyone know of any way that I can get those bastards that sold me my car?

Better check what you signed when you bought the car. Look for hidden clauses that would cause question for concern. In this case I hope you bought the car from the original owner. Carfax will find any evidence of rollback fraud. And will tell of any accidents reported to police. If the accident went unreported there is no way of finding any documented evidence of an accident Always get the Carfax report before buying any used car.

The reason being if you did not purchase the car from the original owner as a private sale, good luck taking any legal action. You will just get the run around from the accused party placing the blame on the previous owner. Whether it being an accident or tamper.
You should first have a body shop look the car over for any frame or structural damage. Also look for chipping, peeling, or any type of delamintion of the paint. If the car was repainted or repaired half-ass then you will have major headachs later.
My next advice is if the car is going to need any frame or structural repairs which are not too cheap, then get rid of the car. It's a good thing you have got the carfax report before you bought it. But next time get a mechanic to look over the car beforehand. Even if it is from a dealership.
Good Luck!
