Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if OBX headers are a good brand. I know that DC is the best, but I can get these for a lot less. Thanks in advance.

 

I have them in my car. My headers are the obx ceramic 4-2-1. I bought the headers with my cold air intake and my racing catalytic convertor all for $245.00. For the price I couldn't let them pass me by. The best price on DC headers I could find was about $320. I ended up paying alot less and got alot more. Get the '97 accord ones if you have a 2.2 or 2.3 and the line up perfectly. I guess you could say I'm happy with mine.

Yeah I got mine from that guy that sells on ebay ssautochrome or something like that. Except I bought them outside of ebay. I some how doubt you'll gain 20 hp from any header. More like 5-10 hp sounds more realistic. Good Luck

 

Are the OBX headers street legal???

 

I can't see anything wrong withthem and it is at a really good price.

I can't see what would make them non-street-legal. Just because they don't have the CARB tag on them doesn't mean anything. There is nothing emissions related about them anyhow, simply different tubing.

 

DONT BUY A HEADER FOR A 94-97 CORD!! its the 94-97 CORD EX is what u want. the non ex is the f22 non vtec. we have vtec. so on those cars they do see a 10-15hp gain cuz they dont have stock 4-2-1 header. we have vtec and a stock header. u will see more like 5hp gain. and some good low to mid gain. if u dont already ahve an itake and catback ull get barely anything out of em. my dc made a nice diff and i paid $320 shipped for mine back in aug.

 

OBX only makes one header for all model 94-97 accords. So you really can't get the headers just for the EX accord. Don't worry they fit ok I have them on my car. I really don't know if you can pass an emssions test with them. Since I live in Florida they are no emission tests so I don't have to worry about it. I assume you will pass an emissions test even though they don't have a CARB stamp on them.
