easy-breezy (bank-2), [u shoulda searched, but there're probably 8000 threads bout this]. I tink wilp originally helped me out with this one,

get a wrench, 21 (i think) mm. It's threaded into the cat, can't miss it (looks like a co2 cartridge with a wire/connector sticking out). Do it when the car's not hot, disconnect wire/connector, shot a little wd on the thread - let it soak a little, unscrew. Buy a universal replacement (cheaper, bout 80 bucks), follow wiring directions. Replace. Viola.

Maybe this should get moved to the Problems/fixes since it's such a common phenomenon.

just as easy as replacing a spark plug and its located attatched to the cat on the passanger side. it may be after the cat on the 2.x motors. but you cant miss it.
