Carbon fiber patterned vs. leather grain patterned vinyl...both look fake. But how different is the factory bra compared to custom? This maker offers a 5-year warranty. The NSX guys seem to like better them than factory.

That's why I'm looking into nose bras. I just got my front bumper and hood repainted. I've seen the clear ones advertised but never really looked into those. Is it a stick-on film?

Edit: www.clearbra.net site is about useless..no pics or anything.
http://www.mishield.com/ has the hood and mirror kit for like $109. No frt bumper though. This is permanent? What happens over time when it gets chipped up and you wanna remove it? I dunno....I think I may want the traditional nogahide bra. I like the air-valance thingy, it reduces bug splats on the windshield.

I have that same bra. I use it when I drive long distances. It fits perfectly. I'll try and take some pictures for you if you want.

Are you talking about the Colgan? I would only use it on long road trips also. Those damn 18-wheelers kick up alot of crap. Daily commute is no problem. Sure, some pics would be cool!

hey....what if you get the 3M clear bra AND a standard bra....double bra the bitch!

New info on clear bras. They only make the hood piece(which covers the same areas as the top part of most vinyl bras, sport bras), fender corners (little tiny triangular pieces to stick on the every front corners of the fender), and mirrors. NO bumper piece. Basically, a sports bra. Price: $109 + installation.

I normally don't like bras...but they are necessary on interstates during roadtrips. After only a dozen trips to my college (260mi round) my hood and bumper looked like the milky-way viewed in a planetarium....sooooo many little white chips...and big ones. Finally got the hood and bumper refinished and want to/need to protect it.

Clear bra pros:
Permanent, no need to install and remove after each trip.
Clear, inconspicuous.
Protect my hood paint.

Clear bra cons:
No bumper protection!
No air-foils.
Same price as Colgan bras ($100) for only sports bra protection.
Suggested professional installation.

Colgan bra pros:
Great reputation as one of the best vinyl bra manufacturer, better than Acura OEM.
Available carbon fiber pattern vinyl...different than the usual leather grain patterns.
$100!
Full front-end protection.
Not permanent.

Colgan bra cons:
Requires installation and removal after each trip.
Requires cleaning.
It's a bra....

about the only thing i see bras being good for, besides holding titties, is to protect the front of the car. I live in the Northwest and they gravel the roads in the winter very heavy. Its nice to know that come spring I can take it off and not look like the front of my car was shot with a shotgun.
