I'm thinking seriously about a nitrous mod, but i don't know much about it, so if anyone responds, act like i'm like a 4 year old! Anyway, my main concern is: I thought Nitrous was illegal on streets!? Am i mistaken? Don't get me wrong, i really don't care as long as i don't get caught. I know there are some mods out there to hide bottle, etc, but what's the penalty if you get caught? and how easy is it to get caught?

Good luck trying to hide that blue bottle....it's not like they're the size of small fire extinugishers like in F&F...

actually you can get those bottles if you want... they're motor cycle bottles, and hold anywheres from 8-16oz's of no2.. or you can get the 5lbs bottles, nick named sneaky pete, which are fatter and a lil shorter then the motorcycle bottles..

I highly recomend you use a zex kit. It a safe setup that you can run with a stock car. You basically buy the kit cost around $450.00 new and in the box is everything you need to run 55-75 shot of nitrous in your car. In case you don't know the shot of nitrous controls how much nos is going into your engine. A 55 shot of nos is like adding 55 H.P. to your car and so on. The zex kit comes with a 10 lbs. bottle. I really doubt you could hide a 10 lbs bottle in our cars. This bottle is good for up to 3 minutes of continous use when its full, with a 55 shot. A race last around 15 seconds so you can get plenty of use from a bottle. Zex only works run you are running WOT (wide open throttle). It has a switch to arm the system once you turn that on as soon as you floor your gas pedal your shoting nos.
Having a bottle of nitrous in your car is illegal. One of my friends got pulled over once by the cops. The cops ended up searching the car and they found his bottle. They made him disconnect the bottle and empty it into the air. And that was about it. I guess he got of lucky but I have no idea what the maximum penalty would be for having a bottle in your car. I thought that putting nos on a pretty close to stock car was dangero8s. Am I wrong? Let me know how much of a risk it is. Thanks for the info
