Hello, I just recently joined the forums and I was surprised just last night with my first car, a green 1997 Acura CL 3.0!
The car is lovely and runs perfect. I'm the second owner of the car and the first owner kept it in his garage for the last couple years so needless to say, it runs like new and there is no problems! except for the seat...
The first thing that I NEED for the car is a cheap car receiver with a audio jack so I can hook up my mp3 player. Is there a way to hook up my mp3 player to the stock Bose sound system without an FM transmitter (none for my mp3 player) or having to get a new receiver? If not, what would be the cheapest HD radio receiver with an audio jack?
Second, the seat wont move up and the seat warmer is shot. How much do you think it would cost to fix? I would be happy if I could at least get the seat to move up... *sigh* "the more power stuff, the more things that could go wrong with it."
Is there anything else I need?
-Thanks! GhettoNinja06

Welcome to AZ - be sure to read the n00b guide and to search for stuff.
I'm not sure, but I think I remember reading a few threads about the power seat motors going - and it involved replacing the entire bottom of the seat. Run a search for seat motor or something like that, and I'm sure you'll find some answers.
Be sure to post some pictures of her too

search please, and welcomethanks!
I attempted to use the search button but my browser (Firefox 3 Beta2) doesn't like this site! I just went back to Firefox 2 and now I can search. Sorry about that. I did find the n00b guide (should be a sticky) and that helped my out alot. Anyway, heres some pics!

I am thinking about getting a stock spoiler for it. Would make it look alot nicer!

That's all I have at the moment. Picture were taken with my phone. I'm going to take some engine pics of the sweet V6 3.0 tomorrow morning.

lol yeah, cleaned it the morning after I got it! I still need to detail around the badge tho. I was thinking of taking off the plate racks when I get my new plates this weekend. The back one is scratched bad and the front is just unnecessary.Originally Posted by 972.2

Yep, any excuse will do
... -.-'
no more n00b comments for me.
lol, but yeah, I definitely plan on some wheels, sound system, oem wing, and considering a drop. I just got surprised with the car a couple of days ago and I have been studying for semester finals for college so I haven't been thinking much about the car. My parents were originally going to hide the car till after finals but... er, it's kinda hard to hide a car. After the finals this Monday, I'm going to clean and wax my baby and take her for a photo shoot!
By the way, I have been looking for a good, cheap cd player/receiver or whatever it's called and came across the Sony Xplode. Any thoughts? And what is the max wattage for the stock Bose speakers?
