Ive had my 99 CL3.0 since 4/20/00 bought it new with 178 miles and now I have 76,000 I have a spoiler and 18 in. crome rims and low profile Toyo tire and I want to put a body kit on as well as Air intake / exaust and a turbo or super charger. I want to start with the air intake and exaust, then the body kit. Any ideas, ive seen only one kit , black widow2

 

of a body kit. You don't want that crap. Look around at the mods for Wings West lips and Accord side skirts. Some mods are necessary to make them work... but the result is nice.

Its a crappy pic of my car, the rims are fine I think you just dont like crome, , and the spoiler look shitty in this pic because of the angle, I have one that shows it from the back and in that pic u can see how the spoiler comes down close to the car on the sides before curving up and is curved to fit the trunk, its not as high as it looks and as u know there are not many spoilers that fit this car. if u see it in person it looks fine and had plenty of people tell me how good it looks atleast mine is different and not the same old stuff u see everyday. You can say my car looks shitty or weird all you want, free speach right ? but its still your opinon, I will try and find the pic from behind.

It handles alot better on the highways swapping lanes at high speeds, it feels tighter in the back end at high speeds, the spoiler is really not that big, I dont know why everyone talks about it.

 

I think I should probably add....

This community relatively shares the same taste when it comes to the CL.. We get people that come here with wings and big rims and body kits, we make fun, they go away... Think of it as our own personal gauntlet.

So just take it as constructive criticism... Dont take any offense to it. If you can get through your first post without blowing up, you should be good to go....

Post some more pics so we can get a better idea of what it looks like.

Ive been through the V8 thing, Ive had a 86 5.0 Mustang and a 84 IRoc Z28 5.7 and they are fun cars but when they have a 4cyc stock off the lot cars doin 280 and 300 HP then yes the mustang is weak Cmon you agree they could of and should of been more powerful. And the V6s are horrible, the stock 200HP 3.0 CL has no problem beating the V6 mustang and depending on the driver could beat the V8 GT. As I have, cuz the person driving the mustang didnt shift right, or I got the lead on the start while they spun the tires. Now a GTO thats a V8 !

 

I just need to put my AZ community do you think if I buy that wing I can finally cut into the 13's. That wing needs to go sell it for some springs ......

 

2.2/2.3 CL's also came with manual transmissions. All 3.0 CL's came with automatic transmissions, whereas the 2.2/2.3 (4 cyl.) CL's came with either an automatic transmission or a manual transmission. I wanted a stick shift daily driver, so I bought a 2.2 CL with the 5 speed.

My opinion is that your 18" rims and your shopping car handle wing, looks like crap in those pictures... But that is only my opinion....

 

I'm not saying that my Stang is the fastest car in the world. With the horsepower rating in cars increasing dramatically from year to year, it's no suprise to me that there are 4 cyl. cars coming with close to 300 hp stock nowadays (such as the STI's and Evo's). Keep in mind that my Stang is a '94, so comparing it to an STI would be like comparing apples to oranges. I know for fact that my car could be a lot faster if I put the money into it, but I'm a college student paying for tuition, books, rent, insurance for both my cars, and everything else I need for everyday living. So right now, my main priority is school and not cars.

 

850 rwhp is insane, that's definately an engine. I've always loved the 03-04 Mach 1's.
