Noisy, not so expensive exhaust tip

Hello all,

being a recent buyer of a '99 2.3CL and still being a noob in modding Acuras, I wanted to know if anyone knew any exhaust tips (not the headers nor the exhaust line though, budget being limited) brands not too expensive and the ones that could fit a CL. I am obviously looking for something big, noisy, nice brushed aluminum, not too expensive and easy to install. Preferably a one pipe exhaust...
If anyone can post pictures on what kind of tips I should be looking for.

Thnks a lot.

obviously, saying not too expensive I was being relative. I've seen exhaust tips for over $400-500.
On my previous VW GTI VR6 I had a 2.5" pipe+exhaust for $250 including installation. That is because my best friend works for VW and hooked me up.
Anything in the $150-230 price range that could do a good job?

Have been shopping around for mufflers here.
Tell me what you guys think, if it's a good bang for the buck.
I will most likely purchase Tues.
If you guys know anything better within the same budget range...

-RS-R ExMag GTII Universal Mufflers
-With a laser cut 101mm tip and polished SUS 304 stainless steel canister it looks as great as it performs! Available 80mm inlet diameters for naturally aspirated and forced induction applications.

you want noisy? get an intake. i promise if you get an ebay one then you wont hurt your budget. another option for even less money: take out the stock resonator from under your stock intake and thats that. hooray noise

why would you want to ruin the cl with that big of a muffler?
should have gotten a civic
....and its 250$
spend less than 1/5 of that and buy an ebay intake or put the 250$ towards a hatchback

alright.. what most of us on the boards here have is a magnaflow setup... we buy a magnaflow muffler, (14816 is popular because it resembles stock the most, I myself have a 14805) a magnaflow resonator (18''-22'', I myself have a 22'' for the best sound control) and a hi-flow cat (I bought a catco cat online).

All these parts can be found on ebay for relatively cheap... the muffler for less than 150, and the resonator and hi-flow cat for less than 50 each (if im not mistaken.)

then, what you're going to want to do is take all this to a shop and ask them to install it for you along with new piping all the way through (2.25'' if you're a 2.x, 2.5'' if you're a 3.0).

That is pretty much a good custom setup that works well enough on that alot of members on the site have.

If you have any questions about this, just throw em up here...

But the 14816 won't fit on 2.5" piping..right?

Im pretty sure it will... alotta' 3.0's have a similar setup. Check to see if the muffler has a 2.5'' inlet. I bet there are different sizes

Its his car, let him do what he wants to do with it. If your looking for a round style muffler, i suggest the apexi n1 n/a muffler or an hks hiper. These are kinda of loud but can be controlled with the effective use of resonators and piping. Heres a video to give an example of what it may sound like.
