whenever i start my car i hear the abs pump make a loud humming sound and was told is its just loud and its pressurizing but wanted to know how to quite it down of where i could find the part to do so. The car gets compliments then ppl hear the sound and give me a wtf look. any help is appreciated

 

i believe its the abs self check, and theres no way to quiet it down unless you dont want abs anymore (take it off). Just tell them its your turbonator spooling up.

 

so its normal for cl's to have a loud humming/vibrating sound that could be felt throughout the car? does it have something to do with the abs module? its the only problem with the car and not concerned with spending whatever amount of money i need to fix it. anybody?

 

Your pump is priming itself, as long as it doesn't continue for long periods or your ABS light doesn't come on, you're fine. It's the ABS modulator priming itself and doing a "self-check" no need to worry mine's been doin it for years
