noise

hi, i have a 97 2.2 and its making kind of a strange humming noise coming from the front end, it gets louder as the speed goes up and the noise doesnt go away when in neutral, so im guessing its not the transmission, the dealer says its wheel bearings but my mechanic says theres no way.... im just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or could give me a tip.
THANKS!!

def. dealer... an Acura dealership is not gonna steal money from you, they dont necessarily need to, the run a damn dealership, but mechanics on the other hand, find every right to "notice" something "out of place" in the "interior cortexular ramrod".... whatever my personal opinion... + the acura dealership in my area is sweet, for every time you bring it in they: wash, wax, vacume, and armorall the car... other then that i have no idea what it is thats making that humming noise..... good luck to ya!

Check your tires & alignment. On my old car I had the same "problem". My mechanic claimed it was the tires. I wouldn't believe him, but when he replaced the two rear tires the noise was gone.

Its your engine, whining for an intake, and exhaust.
