i wanna start over so bad(tl-s or 98+ 5 series bmw) but i can't seem to give up on her.my friends mom had one brand new we took prom weekend in/around 99 and i fell in love with the 1g cl.at first i almost bought a 2g cl but there is something about the 1g styling i like better.had her alittle over a year and am in love with her still as the first day i bought her.she is an old lady with 155,000+ miles.the sad reality is how much more $$ should i put in a 10 year old car with them miles.i had big plans for her and i feel she's only half done but is it really worth it to continue???!!!! i'll know the $$$ damage in an hour.if it's over $1500 she might have to go.

i got connections,don't pay full labor.never did a tranny.that's how i save on labor i "help"(basically he tells me what to do & i do it until i f*ck up).i'm trying to learn everything i can so i can do shit myself but most of the time i f*ck something up/lack of tools at my house.

my guy is great,he yells,screams and calls me names,then makes me "drop burgers/beer on the way home" .he getting old and just gets fed up with all the ??? and when i make a boo-boo when i diy.so does it himself at a super discounted rate.i want his knowlege though...

Sorry to hear that. I'm at 154K and I've thougth about what would I do if I had to do a major repair. If its under 2K then I will fix it. If its over 3K then it will go into storage to be dealt with at another time. Anything in between will be a toss.

keep in mind a rebuild will be glass, too. I felt thumps @10,000 miles after mine. That was quittin' time. Also keep in mind I had nothing but 10 layers of wax invested in mine, so it was a relatively easier decision than you have to make. Always liked your ride. Good luck with whatever you do

dude this is a no brainer. just have it rebuilt and drive her like you love her from now on. ripping around town in an automatic constantly pushing it down to 2nd gear is for the ricers. welcome to the 'ikilledatranny' club.
