no job, no money, NOW NO TRANNY
2 weeks ago I quit my job and I'm down to $8 in my pocket I was on my way home from the job center and my tranny starts slipping into neutral, then it would kick in and out for the 2 or 3 miles i had to drive it home. Well looks like there's another 3.0 auto trans to add to the list.

Unexpected 5th to 2nd gear downshifts on the freeway!
Some have had as much as 5 trannies replaced and they still break down. There's no hope.
At least Acura extended drivetrain warranties up to 100,000 miles in order to "deal" with the problem. They'll replace your tranny for free. But it doesn't help the feeling of driving a guaranteed lemon transmission.

Acura's are cars but man do their auto tranny's SUCK!
I feel for everyone I see start threads like this. If I get any
signs/hints that my auto tranny is going to crap on me, I'll trade the car
in prior...even if it's for a 95' Tercel.

in my case well the car's case it's the 4th trans club. The car used to belong to rmstoico, he put a rebuild in at 60,000 miles and it only lasted a week and it went back in for another rebuild, and now at 104,000 it's time for a 4th trans

unless my dad is gonna fork over the money for parts again which i doubt, the car will probaly be sitting for awhile. I owe him for the brakes and tires yet. Got new tires a month ago, and just changed the front rotors and pads last night. And the oil change last week. One thing after another, fix it, finish the body work, paint it, and sell it. I think i'm going back to old american trucks where at least if they break parts usually aren't over $500.
And no the kit isn't on it, Ross sold it about 2 years ago. The is like 20 different colors now trying to finish body work from where the shaves were cut. Whoever bought Casper's kit has the rear, the front is somewhere here in PA. I had another front I was gonna do before I quit down there but now I don't have the money to buy it off the customer.

Nope, I'm not gonna launch... Did it a few times... felt good but made me sick thinking about the $2k I spent to buy a new transmission less than a year ago. I think I'll just treat the Mistress with kid gloves. If I want to make a FAST car, I will get a 5 speed RSX type S or an older Integra type R. Our cars are meant to drive like low riders... "a little sloowweerr."

thanks for the offers on the tranny's but i think the cl is going to sit for awhile, i may rebuild it myself. I figured i might as well let it sit and i can finish the body work and get it painted while it's sitting. I almost got my other vehicle back together for a daily driver which is my astro van, laugh but that was my old project vehicle. I've been sweating and bleeding all over that this whole week so i don't even want to think about the cl at this moment.
