Nitrous Install question

When you are tapping the intake, it says to point the nozzle at the throttle body. Can the nozzle be installed at an angle or will it not stay in there properly? That is the only way that I can see it possible to directly point it at the throttle body. Let me know what you guys did.

NONONO. Don't point the tip of it at the throttle body!

You just have to face the part of the fogger that has the slit in it at the throttle body. Make sure it is straight in.

Good luck and MAKE SURE YOU USE TEFLON PASTE ON THE DIRECTED THREADS OR YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS (LEAKS)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DONT USE THE TAPE MAN!!!! IF PEICES OF THE TAPE GO INTO YOUR ENGINE IT IS TRAGIC! GO TO HOME DEPOT SPEND $3 AND GET THE PASTE JUST TO BE SAFE. IT SHOULD EVEN SAY IN THE INSTRUCTION NOT TO USE THE TAPE.

Do what ya like but i insist you use the paste.
Good Luck.

that is most important. You have the whole hose thing down right? You know where all the hoses are going etc.? when i first read the instructions they didn't give enough know where.

Just let me know if you have probs. make sure everything is tight but not too tight and put the paste everywhere.

Good luck and prepare to have a blast with that shit.

This is really pissing me off, we are having the most amazing weather and I am not able to get the car in to my buddys shop to do the stupid install, hopefully wednesday night it will happen. With the hoses there are only two besides the in and out n2o lines. One off the top of the fuel pressure regulator to the zex control box and one off the zex control box to the intake manifold. I really havent read the instructions yet but by looking at the box that is what the set up looks like to me. Ill look over them before taking anything apart or adding anything. TPS wire has already been tapped from my venom that I took off so that will hook up in about 30 seconds and I ran the swich the other day because I was bored. So Im guessing about 3 more hours of work and it will be set up. I need to get it in by saturday because Im having the VAFC dyno tuned and I want them to do it with the n2o. I also got a set of ZEX plugs for free so I thought I would use them and if I have problems go to the NGKs, any input on that?

With what you've already done, I imagine the install should only take about 2 hours.

As far as the plugs, I'd stick with the Zex plugs. If you choose to use another brand, just make sure they are 2 heat ranges cooler than stock (or they'll act like glo-plugs and detonate your cylinder[s]).

Good Luck, and enjoy the power!

sorry to whore the post but speaking of plugs.....i checked mine the other day and the tips were red like they are "hot". i never seen this before. usually they are brownish which resembles a good burn and normal wear but instead of that they are redish. Any ideas?? Ross??? anyone???? im confused. Oh and i have 3 degree retard by the way.....

Again speaking of plugs did you gap them to the recommended CL gap is there a different spacing for N20? I got the kit completely on last night, much easier that I could have ever expected. The hardest part was mounting the control box. Now I just have to get my ignition in, probably tonight, and get the plugs and gauges in the have the VAFC dyno tuned and im ready to spray. Hopefully everything by next monday morning.

Cheez just a reminder well to everyone who has platinum plugs. You can't really gap them I tried and broke one and scratched my gap increaser. My denso iridiuns dont have much give in them I dont know about NGKs though. Also what is the recommened gap in mm for NO2 usage.

They'll come pre-gapped. Just install them!

Good luck!
