Nitrous

i've got a '97 acura CL 3.0. i'm wondering if anybody has nitrous on their CL. i'm considering it, but not sure if the stock engine and tranny can handle it. any thoughts or personal experience out there? love to hear from ya

i have nitrous, i love it, no problems yet, but i had gone through a tranny previously but not due to the n20. The motor is holding up great, and i have a blast beating type S's

i've kinda got high miles on my cl. did you replace the tranny with a stock cl one or did you upgrade it? and... how much was the nitrous kit?

stock one...nitrous kit you can get for about 520$ on carparts.com


your car still under warranty?

no...car is not under warranty. the car drives great, the transmission is in good shape(at least i think so), but i don't want to mess it up either

ya, thats a tuff one, w/ a 50 shot you'll be fine as long as you don't use it ALL the time, only at the track and the street races (and street races everynight aren't a good thing )

well...i'm still looking into it. thanks for your help. what are you running the quarter mile with your nitrous? and what shot of nitrous? i really want it to be able to beat those damn mustang gt's and z28's who think they're the fasted thing on the road. oh well, thanks again.

mid to low 14's i stuck a z on the freeway the other night, didn't even budge on me

Hi, i have a 2.2 CL, could i use a 50 shot tank of N02??? would my tranny be ok? and what would be the best nitrous kit to use?

Is it a manual or auto? You'll be fine with either, but the manual would be preferred. I use a NOS kit because they are the originators, but i've heard GREAT things about zex and venom

Yea, my car is manual, but i don't have any mods really yet, i have an intake, and thats it, would i need to get new headers, or anything so that maybe my car could handle it without any problems? could i just buy the nitrous kit and throw it in without having to modify anything? and how much is the venom kit compared to the zex???, and what do you think is better? thanx

i just have intake too....i'm not sure bout pricing or quality of those 2
