Newbie

Hey everyone, Newbie here from North Central Arkansas.

I just got my 1997 CL, Inza Red 3.0 Premium.

The only mods so far are clear marker lights, tokico springs/shocks, and window tint.

those are some good first mods - you're on your way to having a purdy CL man.

congrats on the purchase!

ive had too many bad experiences with carbon fiber, and yes, even from VIS. The hoods looked great for a little over a year and then the edges started yellowing and fading. Nothing against VIS, but if i spend $400 on something, it better last more than a year.

It will turn yellow...it's a harsh reality. However, you don't have to take my word
for it, I'm just hating.

I have money...just not for a CF hood.
Anyways, on a black CL you would hardly notice it so I'm not that sad.

Did you order yours already?

Don't go broke. If you have the extra cash DO ET, but if you don't keep saving....and
always remember your priority's.

but my c/f hood is going to be like my wheels, on for spring, summer, fall, off in winter. So hopefully that will prolong the life somewhat.

I thought it would make our cars look too ricey... Don't get me wrong, CF is pretty cool, but the CL was not meant to look like that... Might as well put on the dreaded BW kit to go with the CF hood... and hell, make sure you get the hood pins and the VTECH stickers. LOL
