Ok, just got my car back from Acura... they threw a brand new tranny in it... the thing drives like a dream now.. and I thought it was good before. Oh, and I also noticed the gas mileage has gone way up... weird?! Before I was at around 220 miles a tank... now i've been through 2 full tanks... 380 on one and 400 on the other... and I didnt change my driving habbits, makes me wonder what the hell was really wrong with the old tranny??

Yeah, I'm interested, too, as to what was wrong with your transmission. Do tell.

 

the tranny was shot... it would not shift into 4th gear... it would just screach to a halt when it shifted out of 3rd. So it got towed to acura and they just changed it out for me under warranty.

This is exactly why I want the exteneded warranty. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to replace my tranny at some point. So you have the 3.0 w/ the automatic tranny and the car wouldn't go into overdrive? What do you think caused this and could you show me?
