For those interested in finding a new shift knob that fits with our clip but looks fukin sexy, steal one off of a 04+ TL 6speed. I LOVE it. the leather feels so nice, and doesnt look ricer like my greddy one. It set me back $50bux shipped though its worth it imo..



Clips right in, only complaint is that it doesnt sink down more. so it looks higher up than the oem one. But it clips right into place.

 

Nice find man, makes us look like we got 6 speeds too haha.

I got a 6 speed one off if a s2000. But its the older type r one. Its not the nice one wrapped in leather.

 

Where d'you get it? I've been trying to find a TSX or TL one with leather for my cl...

 

I saw it on the Honda-acura.net parts classified forum.. they have a lot of members selling a lot of stuff. check it out, but there a lot of scammers on there..

 

OEM shift knobs are the best if you ask me. Perfect fit and great quality. I love the newer S2K/accord 6-speed knobs... but it would bother me being labeled for 6 gears.

 

i thought that would bug me too, but its not like i look down at it, its all about the feel. Im just amazed that the clip fit perfectly..

I agree that they feel nice... but personally, I tried the accord 6-speed knob and I just couldnt overcome the 6-speed labeling.

Is the top of that knob u have plastic or aluminum? I always thought of filling in all the letering and re-painting the top of the knob (if it was plastic) and leaving it blank. Could be done with an aluminum one too, just not as easy.

1. Yea stock shift boot for cl or accord fits the clip on TL knob.
2. Aluminum top.

 

sweet! just dont forget you have 5 gears and not 6...that would be bad if you tired to go into 6th...lol

 

I shift manually everyday i know how many gears i have foooo... fukin prius

 

thats something that I would proly do, so no to 6 speed shift knobs for me hahaha I'd prolly stare at it every morning and be confused for a minute. lol
