New Plugs and Wires

I've heard that the plugs and wires i have are not the best for high performance. I have Bosch plugs and they are old and i want to replace them. What is the best brand for plugs and wires. Keep in mind that i need something suitable for my 150 shot. How much and where can i order them. thanks

Iridiums I hear are the best. Denso makes 'em and so does NGK. As far as wires go, Magnecor has a set made for the 3.0 cl around $130 giver er take. Somebody posted they had Nology HotWires, I looked 'em up and they have 'em for the Av6 (part #011 226 031). Cheapest I could find those for is $230. Good luck on the build. I noticed your in OKC. Check OKCCL's post-we should all get together sometime.

I would like to go with some 8.8mm Magnacor but they are a bit pricey ($170)... I seen Excel wires that are supposed to be good for like $80 and they are 8 mm ... I have not priced the NGK's yet..to tell you the truth, you will NOT feel the difference

as far as the plugs go i have a 3.0 cl and i replaced the plugs with denso iridiums and i could feel a better response and faster response witht he new plugs. maybe its just me. i heard you can get some hp from them but never dnoed it, seach for it. i paid 13 a piece for the iridiums and as far as the wires go magnacor is good and no are nology but i heard about the grounds for nology coming loose but look it up. note: paid 95 for all 6 plugs for teh 3.0

Make sure that your plug are 2 heat ranges cooler than stock when running nitrous. Otherwise they act like glow plugs and could lead to detonation.

Get the magnecor wires...and like db says the heat range (and gap) is more important than the brand.

don't worry about the wires. they don't do much, and with a 150 shot your car won't be around long anyway.

You dont need the rev limiter. The fuel cut in the ecu is better than the spark cut on my Accel 300+.

Dont know the advantage to "digital". Reminds me of calling something "improved" but not telling how or why.

yo sup VXCL.

you are plainning to turbo the auto CL? I was thinking of it but i dont think the tranny would last. Maybe around 8 psi maybe but that is still a risk. what u guys think? Was the max boost i can dial in on a auto tranny?

My zex spark plugs and magnecore wires handled my zex 75 shot perfectly on my 2.3. The zex spark plugs are two heat ranges cooler than stock and not very expensive at all.

Yeah well i guess we'll just have to see what all the money has done to prep my engine. I wonder what everone else thinks? maybe a new post could clear this up.
