New Pics!!! Custom Front Bumper Mods!
ok first, we are in contact with APC and may be sending them our tails so they can make cl euros. we are also not holding our breath and looking for custom tails.
in the meantime, here are a few pics of the front bumper.
to sum all the pics up in order. first we cut the plastic grille off the oem bumper. then we had to cut about 4 inches off the ww lip. the reason for this is we are lowering the airdam a few inches on the oem bumper, and since where it mounts has a smaller length, we had to compensate for the loss by cutting the center of the airdam. screws were then countersunk into the airdam holding it in place on the bumper.
then all the holes were jb welded, the ww lip welded in the center, and we also jb welded the lip to the bumper so when it is painted it looks like one piece.
finally the hole where the airdam was below the factory hole where the grille is was fiberglassed closed. now there will be one hole, the lip will sit on the ground with the side skirts and the rear, and it will all look like one piece. i think you modest, conservatives that dont like fancy schmancy front ends might like this one. it still needs about 3 hours of sanding, but wont look much different than the last pic here once painted! whatchya think?

hey thanks, oh yeah, the hole will be filled with a grille, but not a mesh grille, probably a billet grille to keep it sharp looking.

yeah, and know what the sick thing is? i know of shops that do work NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE QUALITY OF MY WORK that charge $40-$100 each hour! and they take their good old time. if paint or fiberglass is drying i will stop the clock until i start something else!
anyway, we should have a cl meet for NY NJ and PA sometime next summer so everyone can see all the mods i did, and so i can see everyone elses mods. somewhere in the tristate area so all 3 states can go.
