Well I'm new here and since I immediatly wanted to jump into upgrading my car, '97 2.2 (Actually it's kinda my mom's, I switched with her for my car '99 Honda CRV) but anyway I thought that you all would be the most knowledgable as to good parts to get. My friend found this one package for me http://www.airdynamicracing.com/fram...ction&products
as an alternative to spending awhole lot more on Greddy and AEM products, has anyone used these or have any opions to them? My friend seems to think that they are just as good except they aren't a name brand and that I can just get a piece of piping from Home Depot and have a body shop bend it for the exhaust. And my second question is about lowering the car, which springs did you use and does anyone have any pics I could look at of theirs lowered so I could get an idea of what it will look like? Any help would be so greatly appreciated, I'm not as car savvy as I would like to be. Thanks

Welcome to the board Melanie...you're going to see that everyone has different opinions on the board and they'll happily share them with ya. They'll also probably tell you to use the search function to find some good threads on some of those topics you mentioned (ie exhaust, springs, etc). I don't have too much info for ya since I don't have many mods yet, but other than putting a motor in it,
I'd start out with simple things like clearing out your front bumper lenses and lowering your car. About the Air Dynamic Racing stuff, I don't know too much about them. I'm sure everyone else has more knowledge than me, I just thought I'd welcome you into the CL Fam

Welcome to the board!
One of the best ways that I've "learned" about the CL and what mods to do, was to search the site, and check out what others have done.
If you use the "search" button at the top of your screen, you can plug in any key word(s) you like, and find a lot of informative tips on how to "spice up" your car.
You are now entering the "world of CL"!

Welcome to the family!! You may find that going with a universal muffler and custom piping that any muffler shop can do is a good and less expensive way to go. Go with springs, not coilovers... unless its the whole coil over suspension... coilovers suck, the ride quality is much less compared to a solid spring. Everyone seems to love the Eibach springs mounted on some aftermarket shocks... like KYB... and i've heard that Neuspeed springs are good too. If you ever need help with anything... im also in NY... probably not too far from you... so if you ever want to meet up get in touch with me... im also very good with cars and stereos, and I dont charge friends to help them out.

I know you were just kidding around but I wanted car advice, I'm not sure that "Post a pic of your face and tits.........." is that. But anyway thanks to everyone who gave opinions.

I just started adding stuff to my car a month ago..so I know how you feel now...what I did first was get a AEM Cold Air Intake (CAI)...it adds a little horsepower to the car and it makes a great sound..you don't have to get AEM...but thats the brand I chose..another thing that you might want to get are the clear corners for your bumper lights...thats if you want looks for your car..and when looking for parts...not to many companies make stuff for the CL..just look up under the Honda Accord 94'-97'...those parts fit on our car...also we have started a Team CL...if you want to join just go to http://www.geocities.com/da_real_gr8_1/ and fill out the info....welcome to the board...hope I helped you out..

Melanie,
Welcome! You have come to the right place for information already. Take your time, get quality items that will last and not cause you headaches in the future. Do your homework and get what makes you happy. Customizing is all about what you want, not what others think. Good luck with your CL.
