Hey all. How the hell are ya?

97 2.2 here. The dark/jade/forest/whatever green 5speed. Only mods are a ractive intake, decent plugs (not really a mod, now is it..... ) and a WW front lip.
Pretty good stereo setup too.

Here's the ?----

Somewhere around 2500-3500 RPM, in 1st, 2nd & 3rd, at 1/2ish to 3/4 throttle it feels like the car is having trouble. Not really 'hitching', but that's the best term I can come up with. It just feels like it has 'bursts' of power, then less, then more until about 4K rpm (the 'drops' in power last a few milliseconds). Does not feel like and electrical issue, more like fuel. Bought the car 2 years ago w/39K miles and it's been doing that since drive 1. Now has 91K.
Is this something that anyone here has felt, heard about or otherwise experienced? Can it be corrected, or is it just because of the extremely mild primary lobes?

 

whats goin on...its cypress green...maybe you need sum new spark plugs...remember vtec kicks in at about 4grand RPM..

 

I put Bosch platinum 4's in soon after I bought it. Ran the same.....

Yeah, I was thinking it was caused by the mild primary lobes......it would make sense that it goes away around 4G.....but then I thought it may be a problem that just gets hidden by the secondary lobes.....


oops, it's got clear corners too.....forgot that when i listed the baby mods i've done.....
