I dont think you can just change the tranny to a manual...
Do a search about the drop. What color is it? Show us some pics.

i dont have any pics yet i still gotta get the car inspected because i bought it at an auction and the title was salvage my appointment is set for this up comin Friday.
the color is like a mix between tan and silver. I dont remember the exact name of it but i did a google search for CLs and i found one that looks similar to mine (color wise).

http://www.prelude-fan.de/pics/acura_cl_g1_2.jpg

but you dont think i can convert the car from automatic to manual? im pretty sure if i get all the necessary parts it can be done but like you said i will have to do some more research before i jump into anythin

I don't see what the big thing is about manual. Around here, in my opinion, it's just not worth it. There is so much traffic ALWAYS and having a manual is hell. I hear it from everybody. I understand the loss in power etc etc, but the good outweighs the bad.

Did you do a conversion on your CL? About how much in total did you end up spending if you did?

Well my boy who has a shop did a auto - manual conversion on a 94 Accord and charged the guy 2K but it can be done for less if you get all the parts yourself.

thats a pretty straight price if it included all the parts and labor. I found a tranny on car-part.com for 240 dollars with supposedly on 51K on the tranny i know it sounds abit suspect but as i kept lookin through the site almost everyone had listed the tranny for that car from 240-385. Im thinkin that overall though i will end up spending about 1700 anyways.

It shouldn't. Around under 2k sounds about right. But then again, up North, I heard you guys don't have too many shops you can go to for stuff like that. Thus, meaning less compitition, and jacked up prices. But again, that's just what I've heard. In SoCal, a shop that works on modded imports, are a dime a dozen.
