New Car Options Feeler Thread
Well, I've had my CL-S for about 3 years now and I'm thinking it's time to move onto bigger and better things. I know I want a 4-door and I'd like to step it up big time to like an 07 TL-S or a Lexus IS350, but that's a little more than I can afford. I'm thinking ill stick to the 30-35kish category... I'm thinking:
Acura TL: I like this car and it's my wife's dream car, but honestly I have not had the best experience with my Acura over these past 3 years so my confidence in the brand is a bit diminshed.
Infiniti G35: My boss' house is like a Nissan/Infiniti showroom (350Z, Maxima, Pathfinder, FX45) and he swears by the brand, but besides his testimony I know nothing about it.
Lexus IS250 (AWD I Hope): My brother just graduated from his 2002 IS300 to a 2006 IS350 and he loves it, so I'm assuming the 250 will be great as well, especially with a 6-speed and AWD...
Maxima 3.5: IMO one of the best looking sedans ever made, also comes highly recommended by my boss hehe.
Also I would consider a used car if it was really nice... just gimme some idea... like my sister's boyfriend drives a Mercedes E430 and he loves it...I'm just tryin to get a rough idea here and maybe some input from the forum that's helped me so much in these 3 years. Any help is appreciated in advance. Thanks much!

Wait so you're 20 and you're married? Reminds of that new MTV show Engaged and Underage. But yeah tough decision between the IS350 and the TL-S for me. IS300 used to be my dream car. Wait you said the 250, oh yeah then defintiely the Tl-S that thing is gangsta. Plus you want to make your wife happy, it's better in the long run.

TL-S...
Unfortunately, the CL was not Acura's finest work.
From 97 to 03, there were many problems with new technologies such as the servo-solinoid hardware found in the automatic transmissions. If you are concerned about the brand, look at the cars they have produced over the years. The CL, a purely American Acura, has really been the one that had the most trouble. Legends had some problems as well. As of 04, the transmissions have been solid. And as Acura's are truely Honda's at heart, the reliability of the TL-S will be unmatched by Infinity-Nissan, Lexus-Toyota. Not to mention, if you look at there name brand models, Honda, Toyota and Nissan are all good cars. For the purpose of being practical, this is an ACURA site and nine out of ten users will probably say to buy the TL.
My wife shares your wife's dream. She loves the TL, myself, I want either the RL-ASPEC, an MDX or RDX. But we will most likely stay with Acura untill I can buy a used McClaren.
